Trace Commons

## What is Trace Commons?

Trace Commons is an open-source, user-controlled register of AI-agent work.

Its contributor tool can discover supported agent sessions on your device, scrub them locally, and submit the redacted trace for review.

## What is the Trace Commons track?

The track recognises teams that use an AI coding agent effectively while building their hackathon project.

Eligible participants will:

1. Build their hackathon project using a supported AI agent.
2. Submit their project through the normal hackathon flow.
3. Add the **Trace Commons JWT Attestation Token** to their project submission.

Judging considers both the final project and the team's effective use of its agent for planning, debugging, iterating, and shipping.
